Dr. Kylie M Cairns
I'm a population geneticist specialising in conservation genetics. My passion is the use of genetic technologies to inform on-ground conservation and management strategies, particularly for top-predators. I developed this passion during my PhD research where I studied the population genetics and biogeography of dingoes (Canis dingo) using a wide range of genetic markers.

MY LATEST RESEARCH
2010 - 2015 - this research project encompassed my PhD thesis on the topic of dingo conservation genetics. Specifically I observed biogeographic subdivision in dingoes that may be the result of multiple introductions. Check back soon for new published papers!
For updates on my research please check out my Research Blog! I have just started on a new research project to investigate the genetic identity of dingoes across Australia.
